In honor of Women's day last friday I decided to write a blog not only about women but for women.
Beyonce. Who is she? We all may know her as an Independent woman making her own money even though she's married to one of hip hop's greatest most wealthiest rappers. She mostly singing song to inspire women to follow their dreams and not depend on a man for money, happiness or love.
In one of her songs she asks "Who runs the world?".. the answer?
GIRLS!!
As the mother to a lovely little princess these words are something that inspire me to inspire her, but now the question is, How will we "run the world" if we don't teach our daughters to do the same?
It's not a very easy thing to teach someone, I mean Independence, dignity, self confidence, motivation and dedication to succeed, they are all things life teaches us along the way but without the right guidance we could lose track of one of them. I am certainly not perfect but I do want to try to teach Shaila how to be a great woman. As I work on myself I try to teach her the main characteristics a happy, self confident woman needs in order to succeed.
- Have faith in GOD & LOVE yourself.
- Work your ass off for what you want and never stop dreaming & believing in yourself.
- Never wait for other people to justify your life or your dreams & NEVER let anyone stop you.
- Educate yourself everyday and take care of yourself..Mind, body & spirit.
- Surround yourself around positive happy people who truly want the best for you.
- Never let yourself go, no matter how sad you might be..things always get better.
- Inspire other women to be great!
- LOVE with all your heart & don't be scared to feel loved in return.
- Set yourself free from negative people who envy your happiness, never doubt yourself.
- TEACH THE YOUNGER GENERATIONS TO BE STRONG SMART WOMEN!
Never let others make you feel like you are not great, have a dream and never give up.
If you are not a happy, self confident, hardworking woman do not expect your daughters to be, it is that simple. Don't make yourself feel less than anyone else, follow your own path & be happy with what god gave you. Be the best woman you can be, make yourself your main priority and everything else will fall into place. Let's work on ourselves so that one day our daughters WILL rule the world :)
